Applicant must be able to operate small equipment, such as but not limited to lawn mowers, weed wackers, trimmers, etc. Must be able to pass drug test, have a valid Illinois driver’s license, able to lift 50 pounds and have achieved the age of 18 years.
Bourbonnais, IL – On behalf of Virginia Tech Transportation Institute (VTTI), the Village of Bourbonnais is assisting in outreach efforts for transportation study participants. The study, sponsored by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), will be conducted by VTTI the week of March 27, in Bourbonnais. Participants will observe roadway lighting at several interchanges along Interstate 57. This project provides compensation of $60 for full participation.
Bourbonnais, IL —The Brrrbonnais Police Department kicked off their fundraising efforts supporting Special Olympics Illinois with the 2023 Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge. Saturday, March 4, officers took an icy dip among dozens of teams at Manteno Lake.
The annual event, hosted at Manteno Sportsmen’s Club, is one of 25 organized events in the state and collectively raised over $150,000.

The annual event held at Quality Inn & Suites located at 800 North Kinzie Avenue in Bradley hasn’t occurred since 2020, due to COVID-19. Sponsored in part by the Villages of Bradley and Bourbonnais, Bourbonnais Township and Bourbonnais Township Park District, the celebration brings together Bourbonnais Township senior citizen residents ages 55 and older for an old-fashioned Irish dinner, entertainment and a night of fun.
Bourbonnais, IL – Wednesday, February 22, the Village of Bourbonnais hosted Scout Day, an annual invitation for Bourbonnais Scouts to experience a day in the life of local government. The event returned following temporary cancelation due to COVID-19. Scout Day is in correlation with the village proclaiming February 5-11 as Scout Week in Bourbonnais. Nationally, Boy Scout Anniversary Week takes place the first week of February every year. The holiday helps to raise awareness for the Boy Scouts of America (B.S.A.) organization and also to show appreciation for their efforts.

All are welcome to meet with elected officials, discuss the proposed Non-Home Rule Sales Tax referendum for property tax relief and have questions directly answered in a casual environment.

Bourbonnais, IL – The Village of Bourbonnais is pleased to announce the winners for the third annual “Very Merry Coloring Contest” sponsored by Aqua Illinois and Milner Media. The contest was open to village residents of all ages and free to participate. The custom Bourbonnais coloring page could be downloaded and printed directly at home or printed copies were available at village hall. A total of 119 entries were received by the contest deadline December 12.
