Any defacement, removal, or damage to the park property will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Any violations of any of the Grove Rules, Regulations, or Policies of the Village of Bourbonnais can result in a temporary or permanent ban from the Grove grounds and facilities depending on the severity of the violation.

The following rules apply to all Grove facilities below:

  • Open from sunrise to 10:00 PM. Patrons are not permitted at other times unless involved in a park-sponsored event.
  • Permission is required for groups of 15 or more.
  • Alcohol is prohibited unless permitted in designated areas involving a park-sponsored event.
  • Smoking tobacco, vape, or marijuana is prohibited.
  • Littering is prohibited.
  • Glass containers are prohibited.
  • Profane language and music lyrics are prohibited.
  • Loud music is prohibited.
  • Possession or use of fireworks, firearms, or weapons is prohibited.
  • Be respectful and share available spaces.
  • Skateboards, scooters, and bicycles are prohibited.
  • Remote-controlled vehicles of any form powered by an engine, motor, or battery are prohibited. This includes RC cars, RC aircraft, RC boats, and drones.
  • Overnight parking or camping is prohibited.
  • Permission is required for inflatables, canopies, and tents.
  • The Robert Goselin Park Pavilion is available on a first-come, first-served basis unless a Park Permit has been issued for reservations.
  • Pets must be leashed. Pet owners are responsible for the removal of all pet waste.
  • Hours: 10:00 AM-9:00 PM Daily 
  • Maximum capacity: 100 people
  • When thunder or lightning is present, evacuate the Splash Pad immediately and seek shelter. Patrons must wait 15 minutes after the last sign of thunder or lightning before returning.
  • Splash Pad water is not suitable for drinking. Avoid swallowing the water.
  • All people are encouraged to shower before entering the Splash Pad area.
  • Toddlers must wear swim diapers.
  • Running, horseplay, and reckless behavior are prohibited.
  • Toys and water balloons are prohibited.
  • Modification to spray features is prohibited.
  • Food and drinks are prohibited.
  • Pets are prohibited.
  • Shoes must be worn on playground equipment. No bare feet.
  • An adult must accompany children.
  • Do not wear clothes with drawstrings. These can cause a choking hazard if caught on the equipment.
  • Check for hot surfaces.
  • Do not play on the playground equipment if the temperature is less than 32 degrees.
  • Skateboards, scooters, roller skates, and bicycles are prohibited.
  • Pets are prohibited.

  • Sensory stimulating rocking, spinning, auditory, swaying, swinging, proprioceptive, vestibular feedback opportunities
  • Individual and group activities to allow for variety of needs

  • 2-5 Year Old Elevated Equipment = 75% Accessible via transfer (50% required)
  • 5-12 Year Old Ground Level on an Accessible Route = 24 Components/17 Types (4 components/3 types required)
  • 2-5 Year Old Ground Level on an Accessible Route = 30 Components/23 Types (5 components/3 types required)

  • All participants are strongly encouraged to wear safety equipment.
  • Motorized vehicles are prohibited.
  • Pets are prohibited.
  • The fire pit has an open flame. Surface areas can become extremely hot and may cause burns.
  • When in use, fire pits must be attended at all times.
  • Supervise children around the fire pit.
  • Charcoal or other fuel sources are strictly prohibited.
  • Before use, please ensure the surrounding area is free from any potential flammable items or debris.
  • Do not use the fire pit for cooking or heating food.
  • Please follow the posted instructions on how to light the fire pit.
  • If any gas smell is noticed, turn off the fire pit and notify a Park Ranger immediately.
