Splash pad open at The Grove through September 22
Bourbonnais, IL – The Village of Bourbonnais announces its splash pad located at The Grove at Goselin Park, 700 Main St. NW, will remain open through Sunday, September 22.
The free outdoor amenity is open to the public daily from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
“The splash pad has been a popular attraction for families this summer and there is still some beautiful weather remaining this month,” explained Mayor Paul Schore.
“We want to make sure residents have every opportunity to utilize this free seasonal feature.”
The splash pad is one key component of the village’s premier 12.5-acre all-season cultural, recreational and economic hub in the heart of Bourbonnais. The Grove opened to the public for the 49th annual Bourbonnais Friendship Festival June 26-30, with the launch of the splash pad July 4.
Additional Grove components include a two-sided state-of-the-art performance stage, village green event lawn with a 12-foot viewing hill that will transform into a sledding hill during winter months, picturesque Festival Street pedestrian walkway, interconnected walking paths, casual sitting areas with firepits, a concession stand, covered pavilion and coming soon: a modern ADA-friendly playground and revitalized Children’s Safety Center.
The Grove is the result of over 3,000 residents who participated in the master planning process for the community improvement project which kicked off in the fall of 2019.
