Free after-Christmas ice-skating event at The Rink
As the Village of Bourbonnais wraps up its holiday events for 2024, the winter fun continues at The Grove at Goselin Park – 700 Main St. NW. Thursday, December 26, join the Village of Bourbonnais and Curly the Dairy Queen Cone for a free outdoor event at The Rink. From 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., attendees can enjoy free synthetic ice skating and photos with Curly the Cone, Dairy Queen Bourbonnais’ mascot.
“This is a fun and free event for the whole family,“ stated Bourbonnais Mayor, Paul Schore. “We appreciate our business community’s involvement and enthusiasm for The Grove. Dairy Queen Bourbonnais had The Rink located near their store last year, and they were often outside passing out free ice cream coupons to the skaters.”
During the month of December, The Rink is open Thursday through Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. for open skate where residents and visitors can bring their own skates. Skate rental hours are available Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for $5 and includes an hour on the (synthetic) ice.
Free events, such as Glide at The Grove, are made possible in part by The Rink 2024 Sponsors:
- Belson Steel Center Scrap
- Brandon Casey’s Comfort Crew
- ComEd
- The Marla Good Team – Keller Williams Preferred Realty
