Building codes are reviewed annually to ensure the most up to date codes are enforced. Many building codes are revised every three years to reflect changes in material design, composition, and construction techniques. The Village has adopted the following Codes:
The purpose of the ordinance is to improve and maintain the residential rental housing stock in the Village by the enforcement of the property maintenance code through annual registration and periodic inspections.
The owner of any rental residential premises must file a landlord registration, which is required by the Village with the building department on forms provided by the Village inspector on or before December 31st of each year.
