Free community event welcomes all ages

Bourbonnais, IL – The Village of Bourbonnais’ first Food Truck Fest rolls into town Saturday, August 21st from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Goselin Park located on the Bourbonnais Municipal Center grounds at 700 Main Street NW. The family-friendly event is free to the public thanks to the following sponsors:

The mouthwatering menu options are available on the Village of Bourbonnais Facebook page and the Food Truck Fest 2021 Facebook event page. The official brew vendor, BrickStone Brewery, will feature their award-winning beer along with wine and non-alcoholic beverage options.

Kicking off the live entertainment lineup from 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. will be local singer-songwriter, Logan Miller, with an acoustic and soul style, followed by Shelby Ryan from 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Shelby is also a local singer and acoustic guitarist whose covers span from reflective folk, to bright soul, to humorous alternative favorites. Voted “Best Band in Nashville” four years in a row and Grand Ole Opry performer, Anthony Orio, will headline and perform 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. bringing his unique blend of country and Philly soul to the stage with a fresh new sound.

The Kid Zone will feature fun for all ages including bounce houses, slides, an obstacle course, games and mobile video gaming.

The Bourbonnais Police Department will be selling 50/50 split-the-pot tickets benefitting their annual Shop with a Cop program. Bourbonnais Pack 324 of the Boy Scouts of America will be present selling Trails End popcorn for their annual fall fundraiser. Individual sponsor tables will have various giveaways and raffle items available.

“Come out this Saturday for an end-of-summer celebration featuring great food, live music and fun,” said Village of Bourbonnais Mayor, Paul Schore. “We are pleased to provide this new outdoor event and appreciate our Village of Bourbonnais team, all of the sponsors and event volunteers for making this happen for our community.”  

Food Truck Fest will be held rain or shine and includes a covered tent and pavilion for public use. Limited seating will be available for outdoor eating and viewing the entertainment. This event concludes the ‘Summer Vibes in the Village of Bourbonnais’ schedule which provided a free Movie in the Park and Yoga in the Park event.
