1st Bourbonnais Parkway Permits Issued

Groundbreaking underway for development

Bourbonnais, IL - The highly-anticipated initial groundbreakings at the Bourbonnais Parkway I-57 interchange development area have been given the green light. The Village of Bourbonnais issued the first building permit on Thursday, May 16, 2019 to Gas N Wash. The 7,000 square foot facility will be constructed at the southwest corner of Bourbonnais Parkway and Route 45. The second building permit will be issued the week of May 20, 2019 for Courtyards of Cobblestone. The single-family residential development will be located at the southwest corner of Bourbonnais Parkway and Stonebridge Boulevard.

The Gas N Wash will be housed on four acres and feature a retail convenience store, two drive-through restaurants, automobile fueling islands, commercial vehicle diesel fueling islands, along with a 4,900 square foot automatic car wash and vacuum stations. The construction is estimated to be completed in November 2019.

The Courtyards of Cobblestone Phase One development includes 28 attached single-family units with a clubhouse, private drive and detention pond. The residential community will sit on approximately 6.5 acres.

“We (the village) are pleased with these initial developments at Bourbonnais Parkway,” explained Mayor Paul Schore. “While we are currently in discussions with other prospects, we hope that seeing some dirt moving out there will spark even further interest. This is only the beginning.”
