Annual Shop With a Cop program returns
Bourbonnais, IL - Wednesday, August 7, 2019, the Bourbonnais Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Lodge #64 held the 13th annual Back-to-School Shop With a Cop event. This year, 15 Bourbonnais Elementary School District #53 students were able to participate in an afternoon of back-to-school shopping for supplies and enjoy pizza with police.
Since 2006, the Bourbonnais FOP Lodge #64 has purchased school supplies for over 200 Bourbonnais Elementary School District #53 students. The program is funded through donations from local residents and businesses. It provides local students the opportunity to start their school year with all of the necessary tools to succeed and an experience getting to know law enforcement officers.
