Rick Fischer has proudly served as a Trustee on the Village of Bourbonnais Board since June 2008. During his tenure, he began as Chairman of the Administration Committee and now serves as Chairman of the Finance Committee, focusing on ensuring the Village's financial health and stability.
Rick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Northern Illinois University. For over 30 years, he led the Boudreau & Fischer Insurance Agency in Bourbonnais as President, retiring in 2015. Two years later, he retired as a Registered Investment Advisor Representative.
Throughout his career, Rick has been committed to supporting the local business community. He served as Chairman of the Board for the Bradley-Bourbonnais Chamber of Commerce for two years and was a member of its Board of Directors for 12 years. He is also a proud member of the Kankakee County Chamber of Commerce.
Rick’s involvement in Bourbonnais extends beyond business. He has been actively engaged in youth sports programs, serving on the Dynamo Soccer Board of Directors during its early years, coaching teams and managing a Bradley-Bourbonnais Little League team.
A resident of Bourbonnais since 1981, Rick and his wife, Mary, are active members of Maternity BVM Catholic Church. They have two adult children, Paul (married to Brianne) and Kevin (married to Val), and are proud grandparents to three grandsons who bring them immense joy.
Rick considers it an honor to serve the residents of Bourbonnais. He is deeply passionate about the community’s growth, stability, and prosperity and looks forward to continuing his service as Trustee.
